WE’RE A volunteer theater
Our shows wouldn't go on without you! Thank you to all our actors, backstage, and audience for making our performances possible. We can't wait to share with you what we've been working on at the PGPlayers. It's our dream to share unique and inspiring experiences with our audience.
Drowsy chaperone |
An evening in the life of a darling, middle-aged, asocial musical theater buff who, feeling "blue", decides to cheer himself up by sharing with the audience an LP of his favorite (and very silly) musical, a fictional 1928 production of The Drowsy Chaperone. As the evening unfolds, the show - a parody of 1920s American musical comedy - comes to life onstage, as the man shares his insights about the show, gossip about the actors, and his love of the magic of musical theater. A delightful evening of sardonic wit, hilarious satire, and theatrical magic. Don’t miss it!

It’s a wonderful life: a live radio play |
This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve, only to find that his life, like all of our lives, has had a profound influence on many others. Heartwarming and full of sweet sentiment, as well as some laughs and maybe a few happy tears, it’s the perfect way to start your Christmas season!
